Russell Clayton, a sixth-generation Marietta native and retired Cobb County educator, will share artifacts from his extensive collections related to the American Presidency and the White House. Featured materials include presidential autographs, rare books, vintage engravings, Christmas and holiday cards, gifts, and campaign buttons.
You’re invited to attend a lecture and book signing featuring local author Neely Young and his new book, “In Their Footsteps: Georgia’s Heroes of the Revolutionary War” on Tuesday, July 14 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Center’s Community Room.

Young, a native of Cedartown, Georgia, is an avid student of history, often writing about historical figures in his columns for Georgia Trend magazine. “In Their Footsteps” features key Revolutionary War heroes—from Major General Nathanael Greene to Nancy Hart, a spy and patriot—who impacted Georgia’s role in America’s fight for independence.
