Remarkable Women of Marietta and Cobb County

Inspired by the book, Remarkable Women of Georgia, this exhibit focuses on the women who made an impact on the history of our city and county.  Featured in this exhibit, Sarah Freeman Clarke, who opened the first public library in Marietta.  Regina Rambo Benson, the first woman to drive 1,000 miles across the state of Georgia in 1910 and served as her own mechanic.  Jennie Tate Anderson, local philanthropist and Kathryn Woods, noted African-American educator.

This exhibit ran from April 2004 to April 2005.
