Walking Tours

Join MHC’s Collections Manager, Christa McCay, M. H. P. for a walk around portions of the Marietta City Cemetery. Walking tours are held in rain or shine conditions. Refunds will only be given if the Marietta History Center cancels the walking tour.

Tombstone Cleaning Workshop

The tombstones in the cemetery are artifacts and are often the only record of the person’s life, but many of these need to be cleaned. These hands-on workshops will help, teach others the proper tools, products, and techniques to use to clean a tombstone, while doing no harm to the stone or the landscape.

A promotional graphic for a "Hands-On Tombstone Cleaning Workshop" at the Marietta City Cemetery on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A large red "SOLD OUT" stamp is prominently displayed across the center. The background features a four-way collage: a "before and after" comparison of a cleaned headstone for Rev. E. A. Shepherd, a group of people gathered in the cemetery, and a close-up of cleaning supplies including soft-bristled brushes and wooden scrapers. The Marietta History Center and America250 Marietta logos are featured in the center.
