Shoppin’ Southern Style

Now open our  newest exhibit, Shoppin’ Southern Style.  The exhibit showcases the varied fashions from the mid-20th century with special attention paid to the shops around the Marietta Square and downtown Atlanta.

Highlights of the exhibit men’s, women’s and children’s clothing from local stores including Saul’s, Goldstein’s and Rich’s. Featured clothing includes a robin’s egg blue, two-piece woman’s suit worn by Mariettan, Mrs. Elaine Clark that she purchased at Leon Frohsin in downtown Atlanta, which harkens back to the style of Jackie Kennedy.  Also included in this exhibit are clothing accessories, store receipts and an interactive store for children to play. 

 Shoppin’ Southern Style, will run through April 7th, 2018 and is sure to delight anyone who is interested in fashion, shopping and southern style!  This exhibit is included with the price of a regular Museum admission, Adults $7, Students and Seniors, (55 and older) $5, children under 5 and Museum members are Free.  The Museum is open to the public, Monday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm.  To find out more, call 770-794-5710.
