Restoration of the C-141B

The Aviation Wing of the Marietta Museum of History is thrilled to start the restoration of the C-141B “Starlifter”. This aircraft had its first flight on April 6, 1967 and just under ten years later, this plane S/N 66-0186 was “stretched” by just over 23 feet.  It is the first of the “stretched” C-141 models to roll of the line in 1977.  We are in the process of cleaning and prepping the plane for new paint.  We are also looking at get parts to restore this historic aircraft to its former glory!  If you are interested in contributing to the restoration please go to  to find out how.
