Rooms in Transition

If you see smoke rising out of the windows of the Marietta Museum of History, don't worry. The building isn't on fire; it's the collective momentum of volunteers and staff taking on many projects at once to make 2008 the best year yet!
Visitors to the museum will be impressed with the new Military Gallery scheduled to open in March. But the hard work is going on behind the scenes right now with the recent arrival of custom-designed gun cases for the museums extensive collection.
The paint is going on the walls of a new gallery being created to showcase the Kennesaw House when it was a Civil War-era hotel, and the beginning of the Great Locomotive Chase. Local Celebrity Storyteller Harper Harris will be on hand in April when the gallery opens to recount the harrowing tale.
