Sesquicentennial Anniversary of Civil War: Local Art Local Lore

What better way to celebrate the fall season than coming to the Marietta Museum of History for First Friday Artwalk.  The Marietta Museum of History will have both Glen Amos and Hubert Brown. The two local artists will be showcasing and selling their work.

Glen Amos is a local chainsaw artist who does wonderful pieces of all kinds from trees or wood generally found in Cobb County. His pieces are intricate and have a different style to them than most chainsaw work.

Hubert Brown is a folk artist, who does paintings based on the memories of his grandmother. Brown’s grandmother would tell him stories of first hand experiences of the Civil War and he would then paint these memories. Come see these Civil War paintings and other unique artistic renderings from his collection.

The Museum will have light refreshments available during this last ArtWalk of the year.
